To add an article link to the menu

  1. On the Menu menu, select mainmenu
  2. Click New.
    Joomla displays the New Menu Item screen.

  3. From the Content area, click Link - Content Item.

  4. From the Add Menu Item screen, enter a name for the menu link in the Name field.
  5. Select an article in the Content to Link list.
  6. Select a parent item in the Parent Item list.
    • If you want the link to be a main menu link, select Top from the Parent Item list.
    • If you want the link to be a sub-link under a main link, select the parent link under which you want to add the link.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Go to your website and reload the page to make sure your new link is visible in the menu bar.

    9. Note: If you want to add a URL to the menu, follow this procedure, but in step 5, select Link - URL from the Links section of the page.
